Haha, just kidding. This is so NOT a last minute trip. In fact, the reason we’re here is because of elcheapo piso-fares, purchased months and months ago. Got our roundtrip tickets for P3k only! But those savings were offset by one unique dining experience, which is how we celebrated our 4th year together (including a year and eight months married!).
Private kitchens have (ironically) gained much popularity in Hong Kong. Chefs open up shop in discreet residential buildings, and one can experience dining a multi-course set menu at the ‘chef’s table’ next to an open kitchen. Each course is introduced by the chef himself. Reservations are always required, as there are limited seats. In this particular one we went to, TBLS, there were only about 14 seats total. And on a Monday night, the place was packed.
We took the Mid-levels escalator to Hollywood Road, and found #31. There is a password given upon reservation, and you use that to enter the building.
Amuse Bouche:
And lastly, two desserts! Chocolate & Strawberry Sorbet, and Tofu Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich with Raspberry Jam
