I love looking at our wedding photos because it makes me so kilig to reminisce how PJ and I pulled it all off. A D-I-Y Wedding for 500 guests? Not easy. Good thing PJ is a nice guy and I’m a nice girl (haha), so we got A LOT of help from family, friends, and even work clients!!
We actually had 700+ on the invite list (i know…crazy), but we decided to do a FRIDAY MORNING wedding to filter out our truest friends (ie. those who would skip work for us).
Here are 5 reasons why I recommend a breakfast wedding:
#5. Who doesn’t love breakfast food??? 😉 Plus mimosa, bloody mary, bellini, …you get tha picture.
#4. You look most fresh in the morning. You’ll have the best photos.
#3. Breakfast food in hotels is relatively cheaper than lunch or dinner menus.
#2. The church/venue you want will be available if it’s at an uncommon hour.
#1. You say, Too Early?? Hello, it’s not as if you won’t be up early on your wedding day anyway! Besides, morning weddings are over faster! You can nap in the afternoon, freshen up, and party at night again. Our wedding was at 8AM and we were back in our hotel rooms by 2pm. Versus a wedding that’s at 2pm, which would likely end at midnight!
Between PJ and I, we actually wanted a breakfast wedding to “symbolize waking up next to each other for the rest of our lives”. Haha, ok, I shall end the cheese right here.
Here are the photos from our official wedding photog, MangoRed.
Our save-the-dates: Toaster Box
Invites were printed on 100% Post-consumer recycled paper.
Impomptu Caution-Bouquet toss (we just found it outside the tent)
What’s breakfast without reading the papers? This was our wedding program slash love story newspaper.
