If there is one piece of advice I can give to single folks, boyfriends&girlfriends, and anyone who wants to get married in the future, it’s this: TAKE LOTS OF VIDEOS TOGETHER. Not photos, but VIDEOS. Ummm, but only PG-13 footage, please!!! Remember, your lolos and lolas will be there on your wedding day. You don’t want to be the one to give them a heart attack with too much labing-labing in the videos! Haha.
My husband PJ takes more videos than photos (just with the digital camera) and I used to absolutely HATE it whenever he’d shoot me!! Dunno why, but unlike him, I just don’t like being in front of the camera. And then for our wedding, we (secretly) had a Video Battle. Secret, because it was a private competition on who could come up with the most creative/most entertaining video that was going to be played at our reception. He did these fancy layered voice-overs for his video, with a cheesy speech that made most of the girls go ‘Aww’ (including my own mom!), so, fine, I kinda lost on the “sweetness” factor. But in terms of visuals, HAH! I think it’s my game right there.
Anyway, it wasn’t until I was doing my video (thank heavens for iMovie!) that I realized how thankful I am to have so much footage of the two of us! A lot of it is from our local out-of-town trips and our trip to Thailand and Malaysia. You’ll even see me whining in the video when I find out that PJ was filming me when I burst into “Part Of Your World” (from Disney’s Little Mermaid) in the Aquaria walk-through. Ummm…how can you NOT sing that song when you’re there???? Hehe 😛
