Life After Breakfast PH is the creative studio of Manila-based watercolor artist and surface pattern designer Alessandra “Alessa” Lanot, celebrating everyday creativity through art, thoughtfully crafted products, handmade art tools, and creative workshops.
Founded in 2011, LifeAfterBreakfast.ph is an ode to Alessa’s favorite time of the day—a creative playground built around her daily ritual of mindfulness and making. What began as a space to document her craft experiments, favorite tools, and creative process has grown into a multidisciplinary practice rooted in the belief that creativity can be part of everyday life.
Inspired by Philippine flora, local culture, travel, and ordinary moments, Alessa creates botanical-inspired watercolor paintings using her own line of handmade watercolors and art tools. She transforms her original artwork into thoughtfully crafted prints and surface patterns for stationery, packaging, textiles, wallpaper, apparel, homeware, and lifestyle products, and collaborates with brands to develop custom pattern collections.
Alessa believes that art has the power to slow us down, encourage curiosity, and help us find beauty in the everyday. With over 20 years of experience teaching art to adults and children, she has led more than 500 workshops in Manila, around the Philippines, and internationally.
Through watercolor workshops, creative gatherings, and retreats, Alessa champions creativity as a powerful tool for wellness, connection, and everyday joy. Whether working with complete beginners or seasoned creatives, she creates experiences that encourage people to step away from their routines, become more present, build creative confidence, and reconnect with the simple pleasure of making something with their hands.
Her fascination with art materials also led her to develop Life After Breakfast Handmade Art Tools, including artist-grade handmade watercolors and ceramic palettes. Each workshop kit is thoughtfully curated with beautiful, high-quality materials that elevate the creative process and make the act of creating feel like a ritual in itself.
Life After Breakfast Handmade Art Tools are available online at the LAB Shop, as well as at Magdamag Cafe and The Fine Life Market.
