Crafty Field Trip: Woodwork & Pottery
A couple of months ago, I organized the first LifeAfterBreakfast Crafty Field Trip to Tagaytay. Together with 15 others, we met up bright and early at 6am to depart for the South and try our hands at woodwork and pottery!
We got to Silang, Cavite at 8am, and went right at it. First, the power tools and their uses were introduced to us, followed by a brief demo on furniture-making.
Then each participant shaped their own chopping board!
Cute shapes! Now I want to go back and carve letters :P
For lunch, we went to Sonya's Garden, had the lunch buffet, and enjoyed some down time.
Isa brought hand-bound journals for everyone to write on. We also had some DMC thread to make braided bookmarks for the notebooks. I have Sakura micron pens to everyone for doodle time :)
After lunch, we went to Cornerstone Pottery Farm for an afternoon of pinching and slabbing. Each one was also able to try their hand (and foot) and the pottery wheel! Fun fun! :)
