Taught a couple of workshops in London last May and June. London!! I still can’t believe it. Never thought I’d ever bring my workshops here, but apparently, the world needs more creative activities! 😛
Taught a Watercolored Mantras (lettering) class in May, and a Botanical Watercolour class in June.
The workshops were hosted by Amanda of Head & Hands, and they were held at Central Parade, a co-working space in Walthamstow. I learned that Walthamstow is where most young creatives stay (a little bit like Williamsburg, I guess?). Never came early enough to try out Today Bread, but Amanda did always prepare delicious snacks for the workshops!
This was such a fun bunch to teach. We started with a quick round of introductions, and then went straight ahead to the workshop proper.
Helen of Edie Rose Designs lent us gorgeous leafy plants, flowers and succulents to paint for the night.
Each participant got a set of my handmade watercolours and artist-grade materials.
Everyone was so patient with their works, so they all turned out nice. The night shifted back and forth from laughter to silence & focus, and back to laughter. I felt so relaxed after the class, too, even if I was the one teaching!

After the class, I turned every student’s finished artwork into a pattern. Take a look at some of the students’ works!
Hope to be back in London again soon! ✌
