Last Palm Sunday, PJ and I made it a point to arrive early for mass. We bought two bunches of woven palm leaves (one for the house and the other for the condo), and found good seats smack in the middle of the church.
Catholics know that Palm Sunday mass is a bit longer than usual. It was a hot and sticky day, it was dinnertime, and I could see that everyone around me was trying their best to keep focus. But after hearing the priest’s homily, all could say to myself was, Who am I to complain?
This week is the time for us to reflect, and to feel God’s love for us. Join me in this little exercise: Let’s count our blessings.
1. List 15 things that you are thankful for.
2. List 15 of your talents and skills.
3. List 15 concrete things that you WILL do this year, how you will make use of these blessings and share these blessings with others.

I’m pretty sure you will be able to think of more than 15 things. But force yourself to narrow them to only the Top15. Hopefully, you will realize that you have so much to be grateful for, and that there is really so much you can do to help your family & friends, your community, and your country.
