I’m still on a high after teaching my 2nd workshop at Makeshift Society in San Francisco. (The first one was last December.) The studio was packed last Thursday for the Watercolor Lettering Workshop!
By day, Makeshift Society is a co-working space. It’s located on Gough street in Hayes Valley, just along a row of quaint bars and restaurants.
Of course, the class began with introductions, and we had lots of laughs while getting to know each other. The class was full of super talented and fun students. Special thanks to my cousin (ate) Ricci Sylla for taking all these photos and for helping me out in class!
Then after that, we went straight into the workshop proper.
We began with some watercolor basics, and then moved on to brush lettering.
Afterwards, we combined various lettering techniques to make little quote posters.
Thanks to everyone who joined the SF workshop!
I’ll be teaching another Watercolor Lettering Workshop in Brooklyn on May19!
I’m also teaching this same workshop in Manila this June 🙂
