If you haven’t yet, do visit the Enchanted Farm Cafe along Commonwealth Avenue. It’s located on the 2nd floor of the Human Nature building, and is a perfect place for a meeting, lunch with friends, or even just for snacking solo.
They serve meals that are natural and organic, all of which feature produce that are, of course, from Gawad Kalinga’s Enchanted Farm. My fave is the all-heart veggie burger!
They also sell a lot of local products made by social entrepreneurs, as well as organic fresh fruit and vegetables.
A couple of Tuesdays ago, the Pino Group was invited to speak at the GK CSI Night, hosted by Gawad Kalinga’s Center for Social Innovation. It was the day when the GK interns from France arrived, so they made up most of our audience.
The Pino Group is proud to be partnering with Gawad Kalinga and The Enchanted Farm for some special projects. I can’t wait to share them with you in a few months!
The night began with a talk by PJ on his 11 Ways to Be Successful.
Chef Ed Bugia told stories about his childhood, and how he saw light in social entrepreneurship as a young boy. He also shared ideas on what could be done in the culinary industry to help the poor.
I talked about why being passionate about your job works, and shared some of our dreams for a successful partnership with GK.
Mr. Tony Meloto closed the night with wise words for everyone to take home.
It was a super packed event, and we were so excited and happy to be a part of it! Many thanks to @GKcsiNight for inviting us!
Thanks to my bro-in-law Ruben for taking the photos, and for leading us to this event. 🙂
