It is no secret how much I love working with Jasmine. We’ve done countless photo shoots together, she did my makeup for my wedding, and together with her partner Clems, we continuously work on MioFightsCancer art projects. I love working with them so much that sometimes, I bring my laptop and design stuff over to their condo and just work while they do their everyday chores. (Mio’s homework, cook, etc). They are my favorite ‘modern family’. 🙂 Over a brainstorming meeting last month, we dubbed 2012 “The Year of Books” and I’m so excited to work on more collaborations with them!
Our first publication this year is a lookbook for Jasmine’s 2012 Brides. The shoot was held late December at photographer Roy Macam‘s studio and 4 of Jasmine’s real brides lent their time and beauty for the project.
Using all white crepe paper and card stock, I made paper flowers for each bride, who represented the themes “Something Old/New/Borrowed/Blue” which Jasmine seamlessly merged with this year’s top trends in bridal makeup.
Makeup used in the shoot/lookbook is from Temptu and Make Up Designory

Marie Tan worked her hairstyling magic. Nicole was our first bride of the day.
My favorite flower, a paper orchid made using thick card stock, styled on Leona.

The lookbook also has tips on how to care for your skin, and the benefits of having your makeup airbrushed on your wedding day.
